How to run production batches.
Production Runs turn a product kit into a scheduled batch with required parts, shortages, print work, restock needs, and saved run history.
Before creating a run
Production runs work best when the product record is already organized.
- Product Kit: add the product and the parts it requires.
- Build Sheet: add operator instructions, quantities, packaging, and QC notes.
- Inventory: track printed parts and purchased components that affect the run.
- Print Files: connect needed printed parts to queue-ready file records.
Run workflow
Use this sequence when planning a repeatable batch.
Select the product
Choose the product kit or build sheet that should be produced.
Enter the batch quantity
Set how many finished units the shop needs to make.
Review shortages
Check printed parts, purchased components, hardware, packaging, and label needs.
Create print and restock work
Stage print jobs and create restock requests for items that are below the needed quantity.
Mark the run complete
Close the run when the batch has passed QC, inventory has been updated, and packaging is finished.
Keep run history clean
Delete accidental runs and close finished runs so reports and dashboard totals stay useful.
